Lactation and Breastfeeding Support Niagara
In-home and virtual breastfeeding support from prenatal to postpartum.

In-home and virtual breastfeeding support from prenatal to postpartum.

The early days with a newborn matter and skilled support can change everything.
I’m a hospital-trained mother–baby nurse and Certified Breastfeeding Specialist with over five years of clinical experience. I’ve provided specialized, individualized care to thousands of babies and new parents, supporting everything from complex latch challenges and milk supply concerns to newborn feeding behaviors and maternal recovery. That experience has trained me to recognize the subtle details that impact feeding success — milk transfer, positioning, oral function, maternal comfort, and infant regulation. I don’t just look at feeding. I assess the full picture.
Now, I bring that same clinical expertise into families’ homes across the Niagara Region, offering unhurried, personalized lactation care designed to build confidence and create sustainable feeding outcomes.
Because early, evidence-based support doesn’t just solve problems, it prevents them.

As a hospital-trained mother–baby nurse and Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, I’ve supported thousands of newborns through this transition. I created this checklist to give families the same guidance I provide at the bedside — clear, practical, evidence-based information you can trust.
Download it free and feel prepared from day one.
Inside the checklist, you’ll learn:
✔ What’s normal in the first days postpartum
✔ Realistic feeding patterns and expectations
✔ How partners can actively support feeding
✔ Evidence-based supplementation guidance
✔ When to seek additional support
✔ Trusted community resources

Yes. I support breastfeeding, combination feeding, pumping, and bottle-feeding.
I also provide comprehensive newborn and postpartum support, which means care for both your baby and parents. This can include help with newborn behaviour and cues, soothing, early routines, feeding transitions, and emotional support during recovery and adjustment.
Support is individualized and focused on what works best for your family.
Not always — many families do well with clinic or virtual visits.
That said, in-home visits can be especially helpful in the first few weeks. They allow for hands-on support in the comfort of your own home, where feeding usually happens. Leaving the house with a new baby can feel challenging early on, and in-home care can make support feel easier and calmer during that time.
Families often choose in-home visits because:
No referral is required.
You can book lactation, newborn, or postpartum support directly through Janeapp for in-home, in-clinic, or virtual appointments across the Niagara Region or virtually anywhere.

IBCLCs are trained to assess and support complex feeding challenges, including issues related to infant anatomy, milk production, maternal health, medically complex infants, and feeding difficulties that require advanced clinical assessment and collaboration with other healthcare providers.
In my practice, I am a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) and Certified Breastfeeding Specialist with clinical experience in maternal–infant care. I have completed all required IBCLC education and clinical practice hours and am scheduled to write the IBCLC board examination in April 2026.
